Email Marketing is the distribution of marketing messages by sending emails to various addresses. It is primarily used for making sale and creating customer and reader loyalty. This type of marketing involves you getting a list of potential customers and sending them emails concerning your products. I am sure you have received a few advertisements and newsletters about certain products or services that a particular company may offer. Like any other form of marketing, it has to be executed properly for effective results.

The design of your email should at least change occasionally especially when you are going to be constantly introducing or upgrading your products. Emailing the same design will tire current clients or prospective clients and hence you will lose any chance of sales. Even you do not want o read a plain boring advertisement that is in your inbox. Plain and boring goes straight to the trash in my inbox!

Make special offers occasionally to keep your subscribers interested. Do not overdo it, but do it in a systematic and timely manner.
Bonuses are also a nice incentive that you can use to entice more customers or keep the ones that you already have. Incentives such as ‘two for the price of one’ and others like this one are encouraged.

You will need to grab the attention of your reader as you market your product. You need to use sassy lines that will catch the attention of the customer. This is when creativity plays a part in email marketing. Keep the opening line or subject matter short, sassy and catchy.

Never beat about the bush. If you are selling product A, then say so and tell then any information that is associated with the product on sale. Remember this is online, people only look at what they think is worth their time. Otherwise, they just skip and move on to anything that looks more interesting. You need to catch and then keep their attention for a while.

An opening question is one of the best ways to catch the attention of a reader. Ask them a question and as their interest begins to grow, slowly lead them to the bait. Once they have taken the bait, then you are good to go.

Avoid sending emails constantly to your consumers. This tends to be boring and annoying, hence once your email hits the inbox; it is up for immediate deletion. You can create a time sheet to keep up with your list of consumers. Remember you are not the only one who is sending these emails.
